ICT in Less-Developed Countries
Terabit Consulting’s extensive experience analyzing information and communications technology markets in the world’s less-developed countries has been drawn from its work on several major infrastructure projects throughout the developing world, including the East African Submarine Cable System (EASSy), the East African Backhaul System (EABs), the Central African Backbone (CAB), the Trans-African Backbone (TAB), and the Eastern Caribbean Submarine Cable (ECSC).
For each of these projects, Terabit traveled on-site to meet with and present findings to funding agencies, government officials, telecommunications operators, Internet service providers, and development experts in more than two dozen of the world’s least-developed countries. Terabit is proud to have cultivated a long list of close contacts in the ICT, development, and finance communities across six continents.
Having typically been commissioned to work on these projects by international financial institutions (IFIs), Terabit can offer a unique perspective as to the necessary strategy for successful project planning, financing, and execution.
Terabit would also stress its demonstrated ability to complete its market research and analysis in a bilingual (French/English) environment.
